Computer Desk/Kitchen Table
This solid hardwood piece of furniture is perfect for either a computer desk, or a small kitchen table. The table top used is 1.5” thick solid Birch butcher block counter top material. The legs are made from 1” thick solid Red Oak with a box joint construction, with the bottom middle section of the legs routed out to allow for 4 ground contact points to increase stability and eliminate any potential for wobble. The legs are attached to the table top via a total of twelve 1/4” carbon steel hex bolts into steel furniture inserts to allow for extreme rigidness and easy disassembly/reassembly without worry of damage that could be cause from screwing directly into wood. The furniture was finished with a Walnut gel stain, and several coats of a medium gloss polyurethane to withstand liquid spills, stains, and years of abuse.
